What Must I Do to Be Saved?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Recognize Your Need

Acknowledge that you are a sinner and need God's forgiveness. Romans 3:23 tells us: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Believe in Jesus

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead. John 3:16 promises eternal life to those who believe.

Repent and Confess

Turn away from sin and confess Jesus as Lord. Romans 10:9 says: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Follow Jesus

Commit to following Christ, grow in faith through prayer and God's Word, and join a community of believers. Start your journey with Jesus today.

Key Scriptures on Salvation

Romans 10:9-10

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

John 14:6

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Ephesians 2:8-9

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Ready to Accept Jesus?

This is a simple prayer that you can pray right now:

"Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask you to come into my life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you prayed this prayer sincerely, Jesus has entered your life. Welcome to the family of God!
