OUR STORY
The Cup of Faith, a family friendly Christian Coffee Shop, began brewing in the Philippines in 1993 under the leadership of Silicon Valley Executive Tarny Perkins and Cathay Flight Stewardess Tess Perkins, along with Master Roaster Edgar Pazziuagan. Tarny worked with a college friend who had a large coffee presence in San Francisco, California. Within a few years, the Perkins were dominating the coffee industry with 10 coffee shops around the Philippines.
The Lord called them back to California to raise their young sons, Jesse and Christian Perkins. While there, they opened another flagship coffee shop/surf shop at Ocean Beach.
While on vacation in the Philippines and Christ's Commission Foundation (CCF) was building its church, the Perkins were invited by one of the pastors to view the construction, and the conversation turned to coffee because the Perkins had provided free coffee to CCF while the church was growing. Meanwhile, the Perkins were in the final planning stages of opening The Cup of Faith in Menlo Park, California but God had other plans and after more conversations with CCF, they were called to start brewing in the CCF Lobby and above the bookstore in CCF Center. And the rest is His story.
CCF is a movement of men and women who have encountered God and committed our lives to the Lord, focused on making an impact through the work of the Holy Spirit in transforming lives, families, communities and nations, for the glory of God! CCF has grown from a 40-member evangelistic Bible study group to become one of the world's mega-churches, with membership in the tens of thousands and numerous satellites across the globe.
COF is a mission-based coffee company with a vision to bring the gospel message to 20 million youth in the Philippines. Donations for our mission are taken through 'Pure Hearts for Jesus'. The Cup of Faith led efforts to launch Bible-based and family-friendly Production House Perkinspiredflix in 2019. Perkinspiredflix produced Kaibigan The Movie in 2019 and Kaibigan The TV Series during the Global Pandemic in 2020.
Jesse Perkins and Christian Perkins are National Bible Day Youth Ambassadors, The Department of Education Ambassadors, singers and actors.
The Cup of Faith is moving forward with a new generation of coffee drinkers, led by the Perkins Twins (Jesse Perkins and Christian Perkins) and their cousin, Daryl Pazziuagan. God bless you all.

Edgar Pazziuagan was one of the original architects of The Cup of Faith. As General Manager, he was the quiet and faithful force behind our daily operations — a familiar face, a warm greeting, and a steady hand that our beloved CCF'ers came to count on day after day, year after year.
On February 28, 2026, Edgar left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For the first time since the opening of The Cup of Faith, he was not there to greet our customers. He leaves his wife Tess, his son Daryl, and all of us with broken hearts — but with lasting, beautiful memories and the certain knowledge that we will see him again in Heaven.
We remember Edgar for his faith, for his smile, for his joy, his love, and his extraordinary desire and ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he met. He did not merely manage a coffee shop — he lived out the mission behind it.
The Pazziuagan family, the Perkins family, the Gonzalez family, the Olivete family, and the entire CCF family lost a soldier in God's army. But we give thanks to God for eternal life — and for the gift that Edgar was to each and every one of us.
God bless you, Edgar. Thank you for what you have done for so many. Words are not enough.
